black screen on start......
Got arch/netinstall on USB but hit install shows black screen an forever...need to install on a friend box,wht can I do?

Possibly needs nomodeset on the kernel line, edit menu option of the installer by pressing tab
Thx homie! 4the replay...and that did the job...now that I'm gonna install after the first reboot do u think could have some issues with 'black[or blank] screens'?:emorolleyes:

When the installer gives you the option to edit /boot/grub/menu.lst, add nomodeset in the same place as before and save it.
