Just installed ssh to my base Arch install.
Checked the ssh_config and it was very short, some of the options you usually see seemed to not be there, like for example PermitRootLogin.
So, I added at the bottom of the file, exacly this line:
PermitRootLogin no
Hoping root-login would no longer be allowed, but it still is. Yes I've rebooted the machine, if that now is necessary but I usually do after each change to be sure.
Thanks
EDIT: Strange that all my installs start with lots and lots of warning about not being able to open files, getting filesizes and stuff...its like "oh no, this is NOT going to work", but then after all warnings and errors it just starts grabbing and installing. I dont get it, but I'm happy as long as it works
