iPhone not recognized: Unhandled Lockdown error (-4) in Gnome

I'm using KDE, the "Unhandled Lockdown error (-4)" only appears in Gnome. The iPhone 3GS runs on iOS 5.0.1 jailbroken.

dmesg output:

ideviceinfo -d:
terminates silently.

Version of libimobiledevice:
local/libimobiledevice 1.1.1-2

I haven't installed libimobiledevice-git from AUR yet, as it fails to compile due to dependencies on liblist >= 1.8 and I haven't had the time yet to compile that as well.

Anyone having similar issues? I tested it on another pc running arch with the same outcome. It worked, however, on some ubuntu laptop (don't remember the version, though).

Managed to install the git version of libimobiledevice. Now the unpairing and pairing works. After reconnecting the device, it is still not recognized. ideviceinfo still terminates silently. ifuse-git also quits without error. idevice_id --list manages to show the UDID of my connected phone.

See https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26710#comment88572 for a workaround.
Now, ideviceinfo properly shows information of the device. Also, it is recognized by amarok and banshee (however, banshee is not showing any content).

However, KDE's devicemanager still doesn't recognize it and it's not listed in dolphin for mounting.

Is this a bug or is it just not implemented yet?

I have a similar problem.  Using the PKGBUILD provided near the end of this report I am able to get the ios 5 device mounted.

But in the past, I would have two mount options for the device being mounted.  One would be mount "documents on <name of device>" while the other was simply mount "<name of device>" and that had a tree similar to the following

Books                                HighlandPark    Recordings
com.apple.itdbprep.postprocess.lock  iTunes_Control  Safari
com.apple.itunes.lock_sync           MewSeek

the mount "documents on <name of device>" would list the apps that had the capability to share documents and allow you to copy to and from your system.  This was very useful for me and I'm sure I wasn't the only one that used this feature.

EDIT: I may have gotten worried to soon because now I seem to have no problems after a reboot (using the PKGBUILD from the bug report)
