I am trying to play a DVD in Movie Player in Gnome 3 and I'm getting that error. I also get the same error if I try to mount the DVD drive manually. What should I do?

Try installing udftools from AUR

try this
mount -t iso9660 /dev/dvd1 /mnt/dvd are you mounting the drive with the DVD in it ?

Did you have a kernel upgrade and didn't reboot?

D'oh, just happed to me as well. I just installed a new kernel version. Rebooting solved the problem. Many thanks!
