Is there any ETA for 12.4? I am now having several packages on hold which depend on kernel 3.3, that I can't upgrade cause of Catalyst 12.3.
I suspect it to be released around the release of Ubuntu 12.04, but something more exact would be nice.

Catalyst 12.3 works fine here with kernel 3.3.1. Just rebuild Catalyst from AUR or use an automatic package like catalyst-daemon.

Hi, I've just upgraded my system and broken OpenGL at the same time
When I start glxgears for example, it doesn't animate but only shows one fixed frame.
Glxgears window refreshes itself only when I move it or resize it.
Same happens with GoogleEarth.
Cogs (game), however, is running fine in fullscreen mode, but window mode suffers the same problems as glxgears.
Have you ever experienced such problems?
Can you help me with it?
I'm using the newest Catalyst from AUR (catalyst 12.3-1, catalyst-utils-12.3-2, lib32-catalyst-utils 12.3-1) and Xorg Server from xorg111 repo (xorg-server-1.11.4-1).
I have configured X server with: aticonfig --initial.
My dekstop is KDE4 (kde-meta-kdebase 4.8-2).

Please, write in this topic when catalyst repository are updated. I'm waiting for it.

Hmm, but if I try upgrade my system pacman says :
# pacman -Syu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
xorg111 is up to date
archlinuxfr is up to date
catalyst is up to date
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
multilib is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: catalyst: requires linux<3.3
so i waiting for fixed catalyst.

Must be on your side, because for me, there wasn't a problem with Linux 3.3.1 two (?) days ago.

It's very annoying to me.
My card is Radeon HD5400 series,

Release Date: 2012-01-27
X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0
Build Operating System: Linux 3.2.2-1-ARCH x86_64
and catalyst 12.3-2
How to fix this laggs?

Edit /etc/adobe/mms.cfg file and make it looks like this:
#EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1
OverrideGPUValidation=true
Dell Studio XPS 1647 | i5-560m | 4go ddr3 | ATI radeon mobility 4670HD 1go gddr3 | Seagate Momentus 7200.4 G-force | wled 1600x900

hi I had the same problem with flash videos in fullscreen. That's why I'm still on xorg 1.10. Editing /etc/adobe/mms.cfg didn't change anything for me either. With xorg 1.10 erverything works fine. Just put the [xorg110] repo on top in pacman.conf and do a pacman -Suu. Hope it'll be fixed in xorg 1.12 with catalyst 12.4.

Oh man, thank YOU so much!! Really, It's really worked! Now CPU usage is about 50% less, thank, thank you, seriously
I hope too it'll be fixed in new xorg.

I followe Xorg with Ubuntu release. Catalyst is usually prepared for Ubuntu releases. Ubuntu is in 1.10 right now.

I've been having the same problem with extremely choppy fullscreen flash videos, no matter what I put in those config files. The way I "solve" it now is to use a compositing manager (I use xcompmgr, but I think any one will do) whenever I want to watch fullscreen flash videos. It works, but it's a bit tiresome to switch it on and off all the time since it doesn't run well when gaming.
Which brings up another annoying issue: compositing when gaming. It has been broken since forever, but started to work for one or two releases (I don't remember, it could have been 10.12, or something like that) and then broke again. What happens is that it's impossible to Alt-Tab when playing games and using a compositor. The screen just becomes garbled and the other window is not put on top of the game. Same thing with changing workspace.
Not sure why I added this piece of information. I guess I just had to rant a little bit, too

Is there anyone that uses Xorg 1.11, catalyst driver and Gnome 3.4 ? It seems there are some issues after the upgrade ? I've got no more multimedia keys support...
It seems to be related to https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=756563... only solution would be to upgrade to Xorg 1.12....which is not possible right now...

If it is 1.12 you need, then the wait shouldn't be that long. I expect 12.4 to be released somewhat before or after Ubuntu 12.04 (which is april 26 fyi)

Anyone who can confirm it works fine with xbmc and XvBA? Artifacts have been reported with 12.4 prereleases that are not present with 12.3.
