kernel 3.3.1-arch and custon doesn't boot

hi,
i cannot boot my pc if i use arch kernel in the repo, 3.3.1, and also the custom kernel (same version) with and without initrd have the same behaviour. Cannot intercept the error because all of the kernels abova just print 'Loading ramdisk' or 'starting custom kernel' and then it stuck. i have to press power button because everything is blocked (obviously not inizialized). How can i solve?

i have a dell laptop, i7 and nvidia video card..

Maybe i have to add some options to the kernel line, but what?

now i'm running 3.2.14 custom (but also the last 3.2 arch kernel boot fine)...

chroot and revert the recent upgrades and install the kernel again.

Welcome to the forums.

Possibly the issue documented here? Try the kernel parameters mentioned there and see if this works as a workaround until the actual issue is solved.

already did (irq remapping disable) and that is not myproblem. It simply doesn't boot the 3.3.1 from repo and the 3.3.1 from kernel.org (which i compiled); i think i event dont'e enter in udev that loads modules. just hung on 'loading kernel' or 'loading ramdisk'. It happen only with kernel => 3.3

any clues? Cause i haven't clues to give to you. Don't boot, no panic, no segmentation fault indication...obviously is a panic but i have not instrument to manage and track down the issue...
the same .config that works well on 3.2 doesn't work on 3.3.1, or 3.3, kernel download from kernel.org

I have the same problem and similar hardware. I ve created a bug report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29351 but have no more info to provide unfortunately.

maybe there are kernel's parameters to insert in grub to try to bypass the problem, and the try to solve....

Yes, but which ones? I ve tried the params proposed in the other bug reports related to kernel panic without success.

maybe we can try to compile the 3.4 rc2....so understand if whats wrong now in stable is laready fixed for us....because it the behaviour is the same we have to report to kernel.org; it's not arch related problem

the problem IS on enabling wifi on the bios... how to proceed?
