Although this is not an "issue", it would certainly contribute to my understanding of Life, the Universe, and Everything...
I noticed that in the past few weeks the package eclipse-cdt (both 8.0.2-1 and 8.0.1-2) is getting updated rather frequently. Well, not exactly updated because I never got the update on my pacman, but it does come up in the Recent Updates feed at least once everyday.
Does anyone know what is happening?
Enjoy.

I've also noticed this. The strange thing is the package itself got not that many updates.
But it is being listed again and again. Very strange...

I think you should send an e-mail to the mailing list as I'm not sure if the maintainer will notice this thread.

Thanks, I'll do that. Which mailing list should I sent the email to? Perhaps arch-dev-public?

This list is read-only for non-devs, your mail will bounce.
eclipse-cdt is in [community] so you should send it to aur-general ML, as both [community] and the AUR are maintained by the Trusted Users and there's no separate [community]-only ML.

Its maintainer went on Easter vacation 2 days ago, which makes it even weirder: http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/ … 18382.html and we might have to wait a bit until we get an explanation.

A bug got filed and fixed: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29378

Additional comments about closing: Package was different versions between the architectures, causing it to get constantly updated.
How is this possible if Arch is "any"?

Yeah, I saw it too but I really haven't had time to investigate.
Feel free to reopen the bug report or ask for some info on the ML, as I've already suggested in this thread.
