Hello!
I'm using kernel-netbook 3.2.11 on my asus eeepc 1215p, and i still have troubles with toi!
I discovered that adding
ProcSetting no_multithreaded_io 1 in /etc/hibernate/tuxonice.conf seems to fix the problems related to compression and bfs, and it worked.
This is the discussion on the ml http://lists.tuxonice.net/pipermail/tux … 07186.html.
This is really nice, but i'm having another problem, that i had since i used tuxonice: after long hibernation, when i boot my netbook, it returns me this error:
Apr 10 14:07:09 localhost kernel: [ 3.136216] Failed to launch userspace program '/usr/sbin/tuxoniceui': Error -2
Apr 10 14:07:09 localhost kernel: [ 3.280352] Decompression yielded 4094 bytes instead of 4096.

Apr 10 14:07:09 localhost kernel: [ 4.428026] Breaking out of I/O loop because of result code -5.
Apr 10 14:07:09 localhost kernel: [ 4.905258] Decompression yielded 3897 bytes instead of 4096.
Apr 10 14:07:09 localhost kernel: [ 4.905440]
Apr 10 14:07:09 localhost kernel: [ 4.905442] Breaking out of I/O loop because of result code -5.and then it killed the thaw process and boots normally.
This seems to happen only after long hibernation (i mean, from evening to next morning, nightly hibernation), but not if i hibernate my netbook for something like 3-4 hours, and it has always happened, with and without compression enabled, so it is not related to.
The error message i posted above may be related to lzf compression, but as i said, it happened without it too, but i lost the old error logs, so i'll try and i'll post the error as soon as i got time.
Is anyone experiencing same problem? Any idea?
Thanks

Why would a decompression error occur when not using compression? Please post those logs (and change your topic title, this one is totally uninformative).

Ok title changed.
As i said, that error occurred while using comprezzion (lzf, but it happened with lzo too).
But i said that similar problem on resume occurred without them too, i must only remember to hibernate (tonight i'll do it, hope to not forget it), then i'll put here new log files
Sorry for the inaccuracy.
EDIT:seems to be a well known problem with compression (http://lists.tuxonice.net/pipermail/tux … 07185.html) ...so i have to investigate what was the problem when i did not use compression...i'll post my log as soon as i can.

You have two errors, one non-important one about tuxoniceui (which I never got to work, and didn't bother about, I get that too) and one about compression (again, I decided compression was too much trouble and just hibernate without). If you still get the decompression error without using any compression then that would be a really odd bug.

Yes i noticed about tuxoniceui error, and it doesn't matter, and the other it's about compression.
Tomorrow i'll see when i'll resume my netbook if hibernation without compression works...i tried 10 minutes ago to hibernate and resume (without compression) and it works, but as i said, nightly hibernation (hibernation that lasts some hours) are my problem, because they didin't use to work. So, tomorrow i'll post my logs here
thanks for your time!

Ok don't know why, but the problem seems fixed, so, let me tell you, i'm probably a stupid, sorry for your lost time...next time i'll check better what is the problem and if kernel upgrades fixed it...probably last upgrade fixed the problem but i didn't noticed.
Sorry and thank you again.
