Hi all,
I've just installed updates on my system, and I now get a popup message along the lines of "Cannot create Consolekit session. Process /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper received signal 5"
The corresponding message in ~/.xsession-errors is:
"Cannot create unix session: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildSignaled: Process /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper received signal 5"
Any idea what might be going on? I have checked, dbus seems to be running. Other than that, the desktop seems to work normally.

I had the same issue after doing a system upgrade. Reverting to the previous consolekit fixed the issue.

Hi,
I have exacty the same problem since I updated today...
For me, everything is not working as it should. NetworkManager is running but the kde gui to networkmanager says that networkmanager is not running. Therefore I cannot configure my wifi.
Edit : Indeed downgrading to the previous version brings everything back to normal, thank you wah :-)
