Re: Problem with udev 181-9 -> 182-1

udev maintainer here. There was a problem with consolekit-0.6.4-1, which was upgraded at the same time as udev-182-1, (solved by consoekit-0.4.6-2) and which might have caused your problem. However, I'm not aware of any problems with udev itself. If your problem persists with the newest consolekit please report a bug.

I'm having this issue also and I've tried downgrading both udev & console kit to their original versions. No luck.

Any applications that attempt to output sound lock up (vlc, clementine). Flash is the exception so far but still no sound.

My downgraded versions are:

core/udev 182-1 (base) [installed: 181-9]
    The userspace dev tools (udev)
extra/consolekit 0.4.6-2 [installed: 0.4.5-2]
    A framework for defining and tracking users, login sessions, and seats

Do I need to do anything extra after downgrading? I.e. mkinitcpio?
