Choosing a sound card

I wish to buy a sound card to use with my 5.1 system, and it would be nice if it worked well under linux.

My requirements are (in that order of priority):
below $100
5+1 channels
external (usb)
fairly good quality
driver compiles on ARM (or at least basic functionality achievable on ARM)

I was looking at the Creative X-Fi surround pro, but it has too many virtualization features and reviews say that one can't get real surround from it
My next choice is Terratec Aureon 5.1, and it seems to be fully supported by ALSA. Is it any good?

Thanks smile
