ath9k Wireless Bugged for D-Link DWA-556 (fixed with lts version)

Instead of a cry for help I did solve my problem by using the lts version of the linux kernel. My problem was that my wireless worked flawlessly on the net install and then just continuously got an 'ath: failed to stop tx dma' error when attempting to associate.

I was wondering whether it's worth putting this in the wiki's Wireless Setup article, as it frustrated me for a good while until I had a good think about the why behind the what, and once I knew the driver was kernel and the install cd works off an older kernel it all made sense.

Seems like it could be a pain in the ass gotcha for people who are coming from newb distros like me, and worth having a brief mention in the wiki.

Great you found a work-around for yourself.
In this case it is a regression error in the new kernel that bugs a lot of people. Arguably a wiki cannot with all such possible error constellations IMO. Errors tend to come faster than the solutions to them ;-) Welcome to the forums!
