[Solved] Synapse and Journal extension not using default applications

So after a recent update Synapse (bzr) and the the Journal gnome shell extension (both via zeitgeist) no longer open files with the default applications.

All they do is open the file's directory in Nautilus.

Just Kupfer it is opening files with the correct default application without glitch.

I don't have a real clue as to why.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: [Solved] Synapse and Journal extension not using default applications

The solution was rather simple

I wiped the ~/.local/share/applications.

Forgot to try to figure out which file was the offending one.

Anyhow got the solution from the Synapse developer:

edit: Marking this as solved. Sorry about the delay
