Hey guys,
I have been running Arch linux on my secundairy laptop for a while now. I primarily use it as a webserver but recently started to use it as a airplay speaker with shairport. Shairport is working just fine and I can play sound from my ipod touch trough my internal speakers, but not trough the hooked up amplifier. I seem to be getting no sound at all trough my headphone audio line-out.
I am using an old micropoint laptop.

Subdevice #0: subdevice #0I've already read a lot of posts about the same problem, but no solutions have solved my problem. Most posts say I should set my model but I can't find my chipset in http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation … Models.txt so I have no idea what model I should set it to.
Could somebody please help me, I'm quite desperate after a lot of hours of problem solving?

Is there asomething like IEC958 Capture Monitor in alsa-mixer? Have you tried unmuting everything except this device?

yes, Miau, I do have a capture device and unmuted everything except for the capturing device, but the only result was that my internal speakers began squeaking due to the microphone boost.So I remuted that. But still no headphone sound.

Which sound module do you use? Have you tried unmuting some of the other channels, like Line Jack Sense?

No i meant which sound module you are using. What's the output of
lsmod | grep snd? Have you tried muting the external Amplifier in alsamixer?
