There is been this issue growing with netbook driver for the new gma 3600 and 3650.
There is a psb_gfx gma500 driver that can work the resolution up to native resolution but no acceleration. I have tried the parted magic OS and works out of the box with out acceleration too and also very very poor performance. The new kernel and mainline kernel has an experimental one but still no acceleration or 3D possible.
I tried working Xorg on Arch but I only got blank screen even after kernel upgrade to 3.3.1 and 3.4-rc2.
Anyways, I have googled for couple of days and still no luck even with other distros like Ubuntu. but what interesting is that it is fully supported by Meego OS and the Meego OS has a closed source driver for the powervr chip and acceleration works out of the box. I could play 720p youtube video with no problems. by the way, this intel new atom CPU has a powerful GPU 640MHz that I could play 1080p video on windows with no problems.
I am not expert enough to pull the driver and port it from Meego to Arch but it would be great if someone from arch community could somehow do it.
I will stick with Meego until someone does. :-(

From what I can read
User Space driver (PVR545): Closed-source user space 2D/3D and media libraries. The user-space binaries can be distributed only as part of a pre-integrated O/S image. The sources will not be available for distribution or re-distribution.

Yup. I know that. Could someone explain why they support Meego which is Linux based and they don't support other Distros.

Maybe because Meego used to be Intel-backed and Intel licensed the Poulsbo driver from its developers https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Poulsbo
