nvidia blob driver: nvLock: client timed out, taking the lock

So this is a little weird.  The nvidia blob driver works great, got a dualhead up with TwinView, no prerformance issues, runs great, right?  I leave the computer running and come back to it in the morning, now the graphics are unbearably slow.  I'm talking pressing page up/down in less in a shell takes maybe 1/2 second to draw the text.  Dragging windows around kinda feels like Windows when you haven't installed a graphics driver yet.  But I'll restart X, and everything will be fine again.  This mysteriously seems to happen nightly!

I noticed this in Xorg.0.log:

What should I do to try to fix this?

No ideas?  It's a real pain to have to restart every morning

Are you using compositing? Which nVidia card do you have? Maybe you simply ran out of free VRAM. Would also be nice to know if there are any other applications running that might use the GPU.
