Dear all,
I am trying to attach an extra screen on my computer which runs arch linux.
I have the following lspci |grep VGA output:
bash-4.2# lspci |grep VGA
00:09.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation NV44A [GeForce 6200] (rev a1)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 330 [Xabre] PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter (rev 01)Telling me what I already know, I have a normal pci nvidia graphic card and one on my motherboard. I want to use the latter one on my extra screen as my first one is already in use on my first (sounds logical).
I know installed xf86-video-sis and xf86-video-sisimedia but arandr and nvidia settings seem unable to detect the screen. I also installed the sisctrl package, but it tells me the SISCTRL extension couldn't be found and my x-driver is outdated(?? I just ran pacman -Syu...)
also, modprobe sisfb gives me a "FATAL: Module sisfb not found."
Suggestions on how to proceed are most welcome.
