Hi,
I'm using Openbox standalone on my netbook. When I first launch the netbeans, it does not have any problems.
About 5~7 seconds later, netbeans suddenly it turns out grey.
It seems like the netbeans has been frozen, but actually not.
Everything works fine except the color change to grey.
I tried
# wmname LG3D
from this link,
"[SOLVED] Netbeans 6.7.1 + Awesome WM = FAIL"
but no luck. Could anyone help me?

No one even having the same problem?
I found out that this problem occurs not only on Netbeans.
This happens every Java Applications for me..

From the screenshot I assume that you are running some kind of compositor, xcompgr or cairo-compmgr maybe. I'm pretty sure that this is the cause of your problem and not openbox itself. Try disabling the compistor.

Thank you so much for guiding me what was the real problem was!!!
And yes! I was using cairo-compmgr and this was causing the problem.
I have switched to xcomgmgr and now it works flawlessly

Hi,
I answer to this old post because i found an other solution for this issue : For those who want to keep cairo composite manager and use netbeans, you can disable the "freeze" plugin of cairo-compmgr and everything will work fine.
