Gnome 3.4.1 When trying to switch to Network time on in gnome-control-center this one pops up:
sudo gnome-control-center

(gnome-control-center:2016): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_dbus_proxy_call_internal: assertion `G_IS_DBUS_PROXY (proxy)' failed
I did sudo pacman -Syu gnome gnome-extras dbus

I'm also having trouble changing the system time and timezone.
Timezone '(null)' is unhandled, setting Europe/London as default
Could not set system timezone: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.timedate1 was not provided by any .service files
Could not set system time: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.timedate1 was not provided by any .service files

I ran into the same exact problem. So far couldn't find anything about it, the [testing] thread didn't turn out to be useful. But this confirms it's not a unique problem. I'm not sure if we're lacking a specific package, or if it's more widespread than it seems to be (I guess no one just tries to change time zone settings for no reason). If anyone is willing to confirm, compare packages/settings or share ideas I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
*Not opening a new thread since the two problems seem to be related.*

systemD is needed to change the time.

Got everything working now with systemd, I had to read the gnome 3.4 unstable thread.
