I've installed Arch Linux in my HP 2540p.
And I stuck with how to make my card reader work.
% lspci | grep -i card
44:06.1 CardBus bridge: Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c476 II (rev bb) % lsmod | egrep -i 'mmc|sd|ricoh'
mmc_core 82671 0
sd_mod 28059 6
scsi_mod 133422 5 libata,sd_mod,sr_mod,uas,usb_storageBut when I insert or eject my sd card, nothing happen.
So any one can told me what modules I have to install to make it works?

What do you expect to happen when you insert the card?
Do you get anything in dmesg, or does it show up under /dev/sd*?

I expect something print out when insert the card ( like when I insert my music player)
.
And nothing new under /dev/sd*.

Thanks, I wanted to cover the basics first. Often a question like this is looking for automounting when everything really is working fine. If there is nothing new in /dev/sd* then it may be a missing driver (and out of my depth). I did see several packages in the AUR for Ricoh card readers. Perhaps one of those will be needed.

Enable multimedia card in bios and everything works well now.
