[SOLVED] Touchpad synaptics and i3 scrolling doesn't stop

Hello,
I recently switched to i3 and now whenever I use the touchpad two finger scrolling, the scroll action doesn't stop when I 'flick' scroll. This never happened back when I used awesome-wm (that I recall at least...). The bad thing about this is when I'm in chrome. If I'm scrolling on one tab and reach the bottom of the page, technically the mouse is still scrolling. So when I switch to another tab it starts scrolling. Or even worse, I hold down control to switch tabs or something and it starts zooming in or out.
Is there any solution to stop this?
