You didn't write if you'd read this: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p … &iId=24787

I already did, as well as several other articles. I thought this part would be interesting
ALSA lib dlmisc.c:236:(snd1_dlobj_cache_get) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.soI have this file though.. do you think I configure something?

Do you lib32 alsa packages installed also? lib32-alsa-libs?

Ahh.. I got that problem fixed by installing the alsa-plugins 32 package. But I am still getting this.

Ahh I got it! I just installed the 32 bit mesa and ATI drivers, the only thing is that there seems to be no sound... and it looks like there is a fix for that. thanks guys
Hmm... the loading screen seems to hang.
According to this...
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p … ngId=69074
wine V1.4 hangs the loading screen some times. I am using 1.5, would that be why it is hanging, or just because my computer is too slow?

It's occasionally hung on the loading screen since I started playing it last November with quite a few different versions of Wine and Skyrim. Just killing the TESV.exe process and restarting it through Steam (just killing & restarting the game in your case) has solved it 99% of the time for me. And make sure you've got the latest version or Skyrim ![]()

@smudge It just loads forever when I click new game. The animations are moving and the text changes, but nothing loads. Do you know what is wrong with that?

I'm afraid I don't, sorry. One little thought though, did you add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D" to the registry with "DirectDrawRenderer=opengl" and "UseGLSL=disabled"? I'm on different hardware though so no idea if those are useful for you.
