A long time ago I enabled user 'guest' to log in just by clicking on the user name in the GDM login screen, without the need to enter the password. I did everything according to the wiki and everything worked fine. However, now it is not working anymore and GDM asks for a password. I didn't change anything and have no clue what could have caused this except if upgrading packages changed something. Actually it stopped working several months ago (I don't remember when exactly) so it's not a recent upgrade that caused this. According to GDM manual this should still work.
Here is my /etc/pam.d/gdm:
#%PAM-1.0
auth requisite pam_nologin.so
auth required pam_env.so
auth sufficient pam_succeed_if.so user ingroup nopasswdlogin
auth required pam_unix.so
auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so
account required pam_unix.so
session required pam_limits.so
session required pam_unix.so
session optional pam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start
password required pam_unix.so
User 'guest' is in the group nopasswdlogin.
I have currently GDM 3.4.1-2 and pam 1.1.5-2 installed, but as I said, the problem appeared already several months ago. I'm using Xfce (not Gnome) if that makes any difference.
