mediatomb dead after update

Searched, couldn't find any thread with same issue.

I just updated Arch with Pacman -Syyu

now when I try to start mediatomb I get:
mediatomb: error while loading shared libraries: libmp4v2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I tried reinstalling that library and tried re-installing mediatomb, but both failed to fix the problem.

Any suggestions?

I was also getting this same problem. However I did find this: http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic … 44&p=16411

I can confirm it fixes the issue.

Generally speaking, symlinking library files is not something you want to be doing.

That being said, the new libmp4v2 version released today should solve your issue. Make sure your mirror is up to date and upgrade.

Re: mediatomb dead after update

Ah, I see. But out of curiosity, why is that?

I'll delete it and just wait or something since even though the mirror status page say my mirror is up to date, I'm not getting the update for it.
