Wacom serial Tablet (TabletPC) stops working, but fine after suspend

Sometimes the pen stops working while I use it and keeps the current state (e.g. Clicked button hold down).
I can still move the cursor with the Touchpad/Trackpoint but if the tablet stops while I'm holding down a button I can't release the "hold down" state.

However it's fine again after suspending and resuming the TabletPC (HP 2730p)
I've already figured out that "cat /dev/ttyS0" has no output if the tablet isn't working, but there is a lot of characters appear when I move the pen while the tablet is working.

Another problem is that the Cursor sometimes is jumping around the screen and sending random click-events when the pen is close enough to be detected. The odd thing is that this error only occurs around midnight +/- 1h

Kernel: 2.6.34, 32Bit
I know the kernel is old, but the newer ones generate other problems with my TabletPC (external Monitor not working,  Screen flickering)

/var/log/Xorg.0.log doesn't show any information that an error occured; only the events due to the suspend/resume

Are there any other logs/data you need before/after the pen stops working?
I hope you can help me.
