nvidia 295.40 fix

Hi all. I was wondering if there is any fix on the horizion for older nvidia cards other than downgrading to 295.33, and if so, how can one know when it's safe to upgrade. Will the updated driver show up with a pacman -Syu?

Thanks

Re: nvidia 295.40 fix

This isn't an Arch packing problem, it is an upstream problem.  Arch will package what ever version upstream releases when upstream releases it.  Updates are available through pacman as you noted.

Re: nvidia 295.40 fix

Thanks for the reply graysky.

Will I have to upgrade to nvidia-295.40 before upgrading to the new driver (when it's released)? Or will that become evident using pacman -Syu?

Re: nvidia 295.40 fix

Add it to the ignore array is you wish.  Wait for a newer version.  Remove it from the ignore array and it will be updated.
