1. When I click on 'News' it seems to hang.
2. When I select a package I don't have installed and click the 'Package file list' tab I get an errors e.g. 'error: repository "netcfg" was not found'.
3. You can use 'pkgfile -l $packagename' to get the list of files for packages that are not installed.

Hm-m-m. Russian or English news?

It`s normal reaction of pacman utility. Try in console

It`s idea. Thanks. I`ll try to realize it.

pacmanxg hangs completely. - I can't click anything.
I've managed to see it working once - both for English and Russian - but now every time I click 'Update' or pick 'News' from the menu, pacmanxg hangs completely, I can't click anything.

netcfg is not a repository, it's a package:
$ pacman -Ql netcfg
error: package 'netcfg' was not found

It seems the 'News' work only sometimes. I've tried 20 times and got it working 6 times.
Is there a way I can help debug this? Run 'strace'?

Seems fixed, thanks :-)
A new issue: when I'm viewing the details of a package it hangs.
I pick a package, sometimes it will show 'Short info', sometimes it will freeze right away. Let's say it went OK so far - it still shows 'Wait' in the right corner. After 30 minutes I decided not to wait anymore and clicked 'Full Info' - it went OK, but the app froze when I clicked 'Short info' tab again.
It doesn't really matter which package I pick - one that I have installed or not.
Sometimes it will let me view info of a few packages but, usually it freezes on the first one.

when I'm viewing the details of a package it hangs.
I always get freezes by consecutively selecting entries in the "All Packages"-view with the mouse
Fluxbox:
- sometimes a small message window "Access violation" pops up
- soon pacmanxg4 hangs completely
- mouse cursor moves but buttons don't work anymore
- it remains possible to exit fluxbox and x with Ctrl-Alt-Del
- keyboard seems to work OK
LXDE:
- same as above except that keyboard shows erratic behaviour in some applications (lxtask for example)
- have to fall back to root console (restart using init 1)

I feel like I am missing something obvious. I ran makepkg after downloading the tarball, but this happens:
[peter@(none) Packages]$ makepkg
==> Making package: pacmanxg4-bin 4.9.10-1 (Thu May 17 13:01:28 MDT 2012)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Retrieving Sources...
-> Found pacmanXG4.tar.bz2
==> ERROR: pacmanxg4.desktop was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.
Where does "pacmanxg4.desktop" come from?

I manged to install it through yaourt. I am getting this missing file error with other packages I try to install. Other than downloading the tarball and creating PKGBUILD, do I have to do anything else before "makepkg"?
Also - I have one remaining warning that I can't figure out: -USECOLOR sets to "0"
How do I address that?
Many thanks for building this! I'll do whatever I can to offer constructive feedback!

That refers to an option in the config-file of yaourt: /etc/yaourtrc
Colours have to be disabled in yaourt to work properly with pacmanxg:
# Output
USECOLOR=0

0. Thanks for including me in the 'Thanks' list :-)
1. This issue is gone :-)
2. Regarding cioby23's comment from the AUR page
I found the issue why the upgrade was failling. I had to remove the this "download.php?get=" from the source link
http://almin-soft.nx0.ru/media/files/bi … G4.tar.bz2
can you tell us why is it needed? You said you answered him by e-mail.
3. Everytime I start pacmanxg, I get a small popup that says 'not decorated'. I click on the 'OK' button, it goes away and everything's seems fine. Is it related to my window manager (dwm) or ...?
4. 'Tasks' > 'Disowned Packages' seems to show a list of "orphaned" files so it doesn't really match the description.
5. All English news items apart from 'Arch Linux turns 10' are wrapped in a weird way producing very short lines. The Russian ones are OK. I've uploaded some screenshots to imgur, have a look at the first one.
6. Some typos and grammatical errors in the English UI. Is there an easy way to fix them via e.g. transifex or should we list them here?
7. Is it possible to remove 'EXECUTE "pacman -Qii mkinitcpio" Please, wait ...' and 'DONE' from the Full info tab? Same thing for the 'Package file list' tab.
8. 'Backup Files' listing seems shifted [screenshots 2 and 3].

It turns out it wasn;t a package error. I mistakenly thought I had to download both the tarball and the PKGBUILD, then run makepkg. I now understand that the tarball contains the PKGBUILD and any other needed files. Unzip it, run makepkg, and it works
Newb error!

@Minoshi:
1.
Is there an option to get more verbose output from pacmanxg4?
I had a *problem with updating a particular package from the AUR, that resulted in pacmanxg4 getting stuck,
while Yaourt had no problem updating the same package.
*Solved by removing the older and installing the current version with pacmanxg4
2. Let me know if you could use help with a german translation. (It means translating the ".lang" file?)

A problem with some characters in the following line:
perl-text-glob : Orphan 32[1K
The marked red characters do not appear in yaourt; only in pacmanxg:
=> EXECUTE : LANG=en_US.utf8 yaourt -Syu --aur

it seems bug in MSEide. I`m preparing bug-report to developer.
All English news items apart from 'Arch Linux turns 10' are wrapped in a weird way producing very short lines.
It just result of parsing. I know about this problem, may be I`ll fix it. It`s not main now.
4. 'Tasks' > 'Disowned Packages' seems to show a list of "orphaned" files so it doesn't really match the description.
What a shame for me! I mean "Disowned files" - look here fixed in 4.9.12

1.Is there an option to get more verbose output from pacmanxg4?
And what output you need?
Let me know if you could use help with a german translation. (It means translating the ".lang" file?)
Translate module is not ready, that`s why this parameter is not saved. At present lang-file contains translate of UI (not all). And it not contains messages. Of cause, if you have time you may translate lang-file and send me (And I include it). But may be after some time i`l change in translate module or fully rewrite it, and your work can be lost.

Sometimes programs give helpful informations by default or some "verbose"-mode option is available. Please, forget the question if thats not implemented.

This list contains (at least here) lots of essential files like: /boot/initramfs-linux-lts.img
A warning before erasing would be nice.. .
I confess that a while ago, in a state of playful stupidity, I deleted ALL these files.. :-)
