[SOLVED] Arch freezes after scanning LVM VGs at boot

Hi there,
recently ArchLinux started printing some udev errors at boot. After an update the system freezes at startup after detecting the LVM volume groups (3 lvm volumes found in volume group "Laptop" or something similar).

This is my hard disk configuration:
0 - 200MB, ext2, /boot
1 - 100MB, NTFS, $something that belongs to Windows
2 - 50GB, NTFS, Windows 7
3 - Extended
4 - 100GB, NTFS, data
5 - 150GB, lvm
5.1 - swap
5.2 - root, jfs
5.3 - home, jfs

If you need more informations just ask me for them.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SOLVED] Arch freezes after scanning LVM VGs at boot

Exactly same problem here. today's update has freezed my Arch linux and it gets stuck after detecting the LVM groups (5 lvm volumes found in volume group data in my case).

Just run a "pacman -Syu" and restarted system today 30/04/2012.

thanks in advance

(posting message from my windows 7 installation)

Re: [SOLVED] Arch freezes after scanning LVM VGs at boot

Booted the livecd, mounted boot in /mnt/boot, root in /, sysfs in /sys and dev in /dev, chrooted in /mnt, added fsck to the hooks in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, genereted the initramfs, rebooted and now I'm writing from Arch! Thanks very much to all!
