Hi there,
after upgrade to Linux 3.3.3-1-ARCH, Gnome 3.4.1 and Evolution 3.4.1, the new Evolution client does not show any "Birthdays & Anniversaries" in the calendar anymore. Neither in the Evolution calendar nor in the Gnome "Date and Time" calendar overview (top of screen). Running is "evolution", "evolution-addressbook-factory", "evolution-calendar-factory" and "evolution-alarm-notify". It worked fine in the previous version of Evolution 3.2.x.
Maybe it is not an Arch, but an Evolution issue; but a quick search at Gnome Bugzilla did not bring up anything.
However, anyone else with this problem (or with a solution)? I do not want to get into too much trouble by missing many birthdays
Best regards,
christoph

I have to confirm this
It is embarrassing rule of Gnome. One fine and good release, is always followed by a release with a plenty of bugs and bad decisions at every corner. This time it is the later one (Epiphany is no longer a browser, PrintScreen is broken...).

Someone already filed a bug upstream at GNOME Bugzilla "Birthday calender broken since 3.3.4"; obviously I missed that in my first search. I added the infamous "me too" linking back to here.

The bug seems to be fixed with Gnome/Evolution 3.4.3+. Any estimate for that update in Arch Linux, so this thread can be marked solved?

Fixed with today's update of Evolution and Evolution-data-server to 3.4.3. Thanks.

I am using data-server and client 3.4.3-1 and calenders with caldav. No birthdays are shown in my evo-calender. Can somebody confirm?
*EDIT: my own failure: im my WEBDAV-calender properties I did not click the birthday checkbox :-/

What if a person wants to disable or remove the 'Birthdays and Anniversaries' calendar entirely, is this possible as well?
