Updates broke my laptop

Been away a couple weeks. Did a 'pacman -Syu' today on my work laptop (Dell E6320) and now it won't boot off the current or backup kernel.

Booting the current default kernel gets me as far as:

initrd /initramfs-linux.img
    [Linux-initrd @ 0x1fc33000, 0x3bc244 bytes]

Booting the fallback kernel gets me a little farther, up to:

:: Running Hook [lvm2]
Activating logical volumes...
  4 logical volume(s) in volume group "rootvg" now active

In both cases it just stops. No disk activity.

/boot is ext2. Everything else is under LVM.

Not sure where to go fro here other than booting a live CD. Any tips / pointers would be appreciated.

There is nowhere else to go. Boot from the live environment, chroot and regenerate your intird.

There are quite a few threads about this already: search for boot issues if you want more details.

Thanks Jason. That worked. No downgrade, just re-generated the initrd images.
