kworker and ksoftirqd stuck at max CPU

Even since an update a few days or maybe a week back, I have the problem that kworker and ksoftirdq are using the entire CPU (or one core of it anyway):

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
   10 root 20 0 0 0 0 R 47 0.0 4:35.58 ksoftirqd/1
   44 root 20 0 0 0 0 R 47 0.0 3:25.06 kworker/1:1

It lasts for about 10 or 15 minutes after boot and then it returns to normal.

Anybody know what's going on?
