Hello !
I'm new to arch and i have a problem with fps using xf86-video-ati driver.
I can only get about 40 fps in glxgears.
I have tried to instal fglrx but my card (Radeon 9550) is not supported anymore.
I found this topic arch linux forum and it seems like it can be fixed with a configuration file.
Can someone give a configuration file or tell me what to do to get normal fps?

Where exactly is your problem? Do you just need more fps in glxgears to increase your karma or do you have any *real* application that doesn't run as expected?
Btw. glxgears is *not* a benchmarking tool and if you just start it you see a nice message that reads as
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
To disable this just do
vblank_mode=0 && glxgear
but remember: it's pretty much useless to compare these results and if all your applications with which you have to work run fine, there is no need to show off with glxgears... especially with a 9550.
