pm_suspend ignoring SUSPEND_MODULES

ive finally found out why my notebok did not suspend...

even if i had in /etc/pm/config.d/vars.conf set with
SUSPEND_MODULES=(yadda yadda yadda)

the modules would not be unloaded during suspend, and the computer would not come back to life after resume...

anyway, i hacked my way through adding a hook that would remove the modules, and bring them back during resume...

whats going on here? am i thinking it the wrong way?

Re: pm_suspend ignoring SUSPEND_MODULES

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I have the exact same problem.

As the wiki suggests, I've added SUSPEND_MODULES="videodev" (since videodev doesn't play nice with suspending) to the file /etc/pm/config.d/modules, but it doesn't get unloaded. If I remove it manually before I execute pm-suspend it starts up again.

Why is it not working?

Re: pm_suspend ignoring SUSPEND_MODULES

snufkin, please follow eldragon's advice and try using a hook to unload the module. If that fails, open a new thread with the details of what you tried and any errors, etc.,
