Hi,
I just configured my new system to my needs and made a sysupgrade with pacman after that (everything from current/extra archives, except firefox which i installed from testing).
Now, after the upgrade, arch won't boot anymore. This is the second time i've run into this..
I'm using LILO, but don't get output from it any longer, not even "loading arch...." - the OS selection dialog is still there.
Is there any way to fix this, or at least a way to prevent this from happening on my next install?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you run lilo before rebooting?

nope
Just in case this was the issue - you need to read the output from upgrading packages... if you have automated you pacman -Syu (via cron?) then this is a very bad idea (and you have just seen why)
kernel upgrades specifically say "if you use LILO, please rerun it now"
