usb video camera and tv card /dev/video

I have a usb video camera and a pci tv card on my computer. However when I reboot they change between /dev/video0 and /dev/video1. How can I set it up so that every time they will be assigned the same /dev/videoX device?

You might put the desired order in /etc/rc.conf under modules.

I'll bet you are having a similar problem to that which happens with disk drives.  Take a look at this wiki article on how to deal with drives that swap.  I think the same technique can be applied to supplement 60-persistent-v4l.rules.

I've not tried this, YMMV

Thanks for the help. First I will try the modules order and see if it works.
