Hi,
I am using mutt with postfix. I am using smtp for mail delivery (MS Exchange) . When i send a mail, mutt hangs with the msg "Uploading mail". Has any one seen a similar issue? Any ideas how i can debug this one?

I suppose you use postfix as mta (mutt can't send mail by itself) to relay mail through the M$ Ex. server, correct ?
First of all do 'postfix check', to check your {main, master}.cf for sanity. Then have 'tail -f /var/log/mail' open in a console & try sending a mail to yourself (local user on localhost) using mutt in another. Check the logs, if everything's ok try sending an e-mail to a 'real' address & check again.
btw. Are you sure that the Exchange server permits relay ?

Hi,
Thanks for the response. That is right, i am using postfix as a mta. Actually it sends mail without any problem most of the times. Occationally i am seeing this hang issue. So i think the postfix configuration is ok. One of the thing i noticed is that if i have a big attachment in the mail, the mail delivery fails more often.
Thanks,
Singarcher.
