[SOLVED] Special Sound Situation

*EDIT* I compared loaded modules with Arch to those of LM13, which has excellent autodetection. After adding snd_seq, snd_seq_midi, snd_rawmidi, snd_seq_midi_event, and snd_seq_device to rc.conf and restarting, I now have audio! Yay! Thank you for your support.

I have an HP dv7t-4100 with Beats, and I've just reinstalled Arch and GNOME. I've installed several times now, and ALSA/PulseAudio has always worked out of the box with some sort of subwoofer when I insert "options snd-hda-intel model=ref" into my modprobe.conf. Well today the audio is not working and I've not a clue what is wrong. Alsa-utils, pulseaudio-alsa, and alsa-oss are all installed. Necessary alsamixer channels are unmuted. My sound card as defined by alsamixer is an Intel IDT 92HD81B1X5. Any help is appreciated. This isn't urgent so take your time smile

Re: [SOLVED] Special Sound Situation

Have you added alsa to the Daemons array in /etc/rc.conf?

Useful debugging info:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh
bash alsa-info.sh --upload

Then show us the URL that the script shows at the end.

Re: [SOLVED] Special Sound Situation
