Hi,
I recently bought a Thinkpad T520 with both integrated intel gfx and nvidia discrete gfx. While I mostly use the gfx for normal usage, to hook up to an external display, I have to use the nvidia card. How can I get both the intel and nvidia drivers installed so that when I boot with intel gfx, the intel driver is used and when I reboot with nvidia, the nvidia driver is used? I have to switch the graphics card in the bios, so I would also be using one or the other and never both.
Thanks
Ryan

Bumblebee is your best bet for this. Also, I'm not sure what sort of monitor you use, but the Intel chip outputs to the VGA port, the Nvidia chip to DisplayPort. I only use the Intel chip most of the time, and VGA works fine for basic desktop work. You can also take a look at this thread, if you think it'll be useful.
