Hi,
I've followed the instructions at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ati … Kernel_2.6 to set up my ATI Mobility Radeon 9200. I'm using the 2612-cko2-swsusp2 kernel from the AUR and also the ati-drivers from the AUR. PKGbuilt and pacman finished without any flaw.
Still, after rebooting, I get the following message:
$ modprobe fglrx
FATAL: Module fglrx not found.
Any clues?

Which pkgs do you have installed? 2612-cko2-swsusp2 is very deprecated.
I have just updated the wiki as the information was massively incorrect - sorry about that

I think it's time to update the wiki ...

I just did but it needs more work

Allright, pacman just installed community/kernel26archck and community/ati-drivers. Still, the problem persists in the very same way (Module fglrx not found.)

Have you booted with the new kernel???

Can you confirm that lib/modules/2.6.13-archck1/video/fglrx.ko exists?

confirmed.

stupid me :oops:
well, looks like I made the same mistake twice. I forgot to run lilo after editin the /etc/lilo.conf. Seems I was following the explanations in the updated wiki without thinking.. I suggest changing
Now just edit your bootloader (lilo or grub) configuration file to add /boot/vmlinuz26archck as the default kernel to boot and restart your system
in the wiki to also remind newbs of actually running and thereby installing/updating their bootloader after changing its config.
Now I'm running the correct kernel image and the module loads
Big thanks to you guys, especially for updating the wiki!
