[Solved] Error installing teamviewer 7.0.9348-1

[teamviewer]$ makepkg -i
==> Making package: teamviewer 7.0.9348-1 (Tue May 22 18:38:54 BST 2012)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Retrieving Sources...
  -> Found teamviewer_linux-7.0.9348.deb
==> ERROR: teamviewer.desktop was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.
[teamviewer]$ 

Anything need to be done to resolve?

Solution

Extract teamviewer.tar.gz - then copy the teamviwer.desktop file in to the same folder as the PKGBUILD file and that should be all good to go!

You should download the tarrball package: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/te/te … wer.tar.gz - tested and it works ok.

I have the tarball package same problem

[phed@evolution teamviewer]$ ls
PKGBUILD  src  teamviewer_linux-7.0.9348.deb  teamviewer.tar.gz

Doh can be marked resolved - it needed the file in with PKGBUILD and .tar.gz - Copied the teamviewer.desktop after extracting from teamviewer.tar.gz and it worked fine..
