I inserted the dual-arch core cd and ran the setup, I'm having trouble with the kernel thinking that it recognizes my wireless card.
I just purchased my ThinkPad Edge E420, and the stock network card
lspci | grep -i net
Which returns
Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor... RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n Wifi Adapter
But arch thinks I have rtl8192ce.. I guess that's okay, except that it doesn't work. So how do I tell/install the correct drivers for my hardware?
First forum post, ask me for any information you may need.
Edit: It is the 8188CE not the 8180CE sorry for the confusion. Can't figure out how to rename the title.

Welcome to the forums.
rtl8192ce should be the correct driver for that specific card. How exactly does it "not work"?
PS: Possibly also worth checking out the Wireless wiki page.

Well for example when I couldn't get arch wireless to work, I tried to install Debian, same issue. It asked for firmware for the card, because the default didn't work. I really don't know how or why it doesn't work, and I did read that 8192 SHOULD work with 8188ce. I did read the Wireless wiki page and also the beginners guide and the network setup page, I tried to connect to my router set the wpa encryption did all of that. The wireless just doesn't work.
There is a physical Ethernet cable connector, so I am able to install the system and all of the network software.

Thanks fixed it.

Your explanation is still rather vague.
- What fails exactly (associating with the AP, dhcp request,...)?
- What does the output of "iwconfig -a" and "ip addr" say?
- What do the logs (/var/log/messages and dmesg) say?
