Banshee, metadata and syncing [Solved]

*I have a lot of music from various sources
*I use banshee to manage and play my music, I would like to continue using banshee if possible
*I use banshee to sync my music to my android phone (running cyanogenmod7).
*Due to my music being from various sources, the metadata for different song from the same album often is slightly different (e.g. albums being Aim & Ignite vs Aim and Ignite)
*I use banshee to change the metadata of the music, but all it appears to only change the directories it's in, not the actual metadata in the file.
*This is a problem, because when I sync my music to my phone, the music becomes unorganized again because the my organization in banshee doesn't actually change the files' metadata.
*What I'm looking for is either A) a way to get banshee to actually change the files' metadata or B) A script or program to set the album metadata of a .ogg/.mp3/.m4a/.flac file to the directory and the artist to the directory the album is in.

In banshee preferences, enable "Sync metadata between library and files".
