anyone tried equinox? http://ede.sourceforge.net/page/

i am still without x on amd64 (recompiling stuff with gcc4), but as so as x is compiled i wanna try it. the themes look ok but they will be need some customizing.

True. so it might be a good "transition" DE, especially if they chuck a Windows Explorer-like file manager in the mix. Being based on FLTK, it's be way quick though...

I tried it once, unfortunately my screenies and PKGBUILD died from a too fast rm -rf <dir>.
The only thing that sucks are these efltk libs, which are incomüpatible with upstream fltk.

apart from that, and that it perfectly looks like a W2k surface, it was fast, lightweight and stable
