Getting Lightspark to work in Firefox? [SOLVED]

Here's hoping someone has managed to get any output other than a black box (where the flash content should be) with Lightspark on Firefox, Iron or Chrome browser?  Downloading .swf files and opening locally with Lightspark does not work for me either at the moment (with lightspark-git 0.42 package from AUR).  I have tried suggestions from the project troubleshooting page to no avail:

I also disabled the browser shockwave plugin which was installed in addition to lightspark, I moved the libflash*.so files out of /opt/swiftfox/plugins directory and 'pacman -R flashplugin' but it still did not work.  Hopefully we will get the next version of Lightspark out soon - there looks to be fast and steady progress with this project:

Well, just to let you know that lately lightspark-git will not compile for me.  I installed llvm-svn in an effort to get this to work but no go.  Nevertheless, I have managed to install the 'lightspark' package and this works fine. After uninstalling flashplugin and testing with the latest Chromium and firefox-nightly (4.0b8) I can report that there is decent support for basic flash websites although some still have issues (www.lovemonk.net (good music) and www.friv.com (good games) spring to mind). 

I'd be interested in any other tips and tricks people have come across to get this working.  Also, to my surprise, Chromium seems to have some support for lightspark which according to lightspark's creator is purely coincidental since it is actively being developed for Firefox only at the moment.

I have installed lightspark-git for the AUR on a few occasions.
I can't get it to function either.

Currently I'm adding gnash-kde4 to see if it will fallback gracefully.
At the moment though I'm at a bit of a loss as to what lightspark is going to add since every flash instance I've tried with it is "unrecognized".

The OP said that he installed a package that is now 18 months old: it is unlikely to help you.
