I'm having a strange problem on my laptop: the mouse will freeze periodically for a very brief period of time (milliseconds, but enough to notice), then continue operating properly. The problem occurs both when using the touchpad and the USB mouse. I'm running plain vanilla openbox, with tint2 and compton composite manager.

First thing I'd suspect is USB power-saving.
