Madman

This is an awesome music catalogging system that used xmms to play your mp3's.  It's like juk and rhythmbox.

Re: Madman

I wrote the PKGBUILD that _should_ do it, but unfortunately it doesnt want to compile on my Arch Box sad
When scons starts compiling:
"g++ -DMADMAN_VERSION=0.93 -DNDEBUG=1 -I/opt/qt/include -I. -I/opt/qt/include -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -c -o database/auto_dj.o database/auto_dj.cpp
In file included from database/auto_dj.cpp:42:
./utility/refcnt_ptr.h: In constructor `refcnt_ptr<T>::refcnt_ptr(const refcnt_ptr<T2>&)':
./utility/refcnt_ptr.h:112: error: `refcnt' undeclared (first use this function)
./utility/refcnt_ptr.h:112: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in.)
scons: *** [database/auto_dj.o] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors."

This is my pkgbuild, maybe you guys have more luck?
(edit: removed because not working)

Re: Madman

You can get a working package from ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/incoming/

Tried that PKGBUILD but it also fails to compile with the same error message...

Re: Madman

I don't remember if I tried compiling Madman from that PKGBUILD or not, but the actual package worked for me when I added it with pacman.  (Actually, there are two packages in incoming, I installed the more recent one.)

Re: Madman

I fixed the gcc3.4 compile problem some time ago in May.  Way to search...  smile   See the thread at http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … ght=madman

I've updated everything for version 0.93.  Packages and PKGBUILDs are available at http://ca.geocities.com/kpiche@rogers.com/

Enjoy!

Re: Madman

Any chance of a PKGBUILD for the current devel version or is it better to wait for 0.94?

Re: Madman

I have adopted madman and made some changes to the current PKGBUILD in the AUR:

- I have added dependencies for the package.
- I've left out the configure script, so the build doesn't require user input anymore. I've tested it with and without scons installed.
- I've added icons in three different sizes.
- I've added a .desktop file.

You can find it here:

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … s=1&ID=906

I'm looking at the development version now, and try to make a PKGBUILD of it as well.
