Have you tried {moving,renaming} /etc/asound.conf?
Offline
i apologize. Yes i have tried moving /etc/asound.conf with no luck.
Thanks,
Paul
EDIT:
I fixed the issue 24 hrs later however. After trying everything and realizing that udev had everything loaded right (all modules were up and my sound card was reconized) i went back into alsa mixer and played around. Headphones in alsamixer was something i unmuted. After muteing headphones amazingly the sound started to work. I hope this will help someone else because its very hard to pin-point. In the Arch alsa guide it says to launch alsamixer and unmute master and pcm levels. I however unmuted pratucally everything not thinking.
Thank you
