Re: June 2012 Screenshots

Here's a sort of industrial/cyberpunk theme I put together with some wallpapers fetched on google. I'm a bit of a fan of Angelspit and love their style and imagery. Nothing special but a light use of the dark blues in the default xfce-dusk theme and reds on dark backgrounds some transparency on the decorations. The band has no issues with distributing their material online so i'm not violating any copyrights in that respect. They originally promoted themselves through letting people download their music and art for free and express this view in one of their "blipverts" available on youtube.
Just cruxish and xfce-dusk for theme/appearance preferences on a more so called "pure" Xfce4+xfwm DE with compositing enabled on an Asus 1018p netbook. I use the Tilda terminal emulator and run 2 instances at startup. They slide out from the right and left using the F1 and F2 keys. the third one is started with a different hotkey and rises from the bottom(it's the one with red font) and is accessible with F3.

These may not be appropriate to some or perhaps even offensive... Not sure. but better safe than sorry.

Tilda examples:http://tinypic.com/r/24e16ag/6
http://tinypic.com/r/2dme4hc/6

Note:The ascii Arch logo was done from scratch in my free time on public transportation. there were many out there but i wanted to make my own....

Done they should work now... i'll worry about google drive later...

Somehow the visual part of my herbstluftwm hasn't been changed for at least half a year. Except the

What does a negative value for window_gap do?  Your windows don't look like they're overlapping.

It's Caledonia. It has few color problems and lacks good network manager icon but other than that I think it's the best dark theme available. It would be nice if you posted some of your work (like Lattea) to KDE-Look btw. I don't think there currently is any decent flat themes in store.

It causes the 1px-frame-border to overlap. so there is a black 1px-line between the window borders

Clever!  I gather in those screenshots you've got a frame_border of 1 and a window_border of 2 or 3 pixels?
