You can do something like manual tiling in Xmonad and feel pretty much like wmii.

I really don't remember those colors...
What are those terminal applications? seems that there are new very cool terminal apps since the years i used arch now i installed again and discovering such cool things
EDIT: the file manager i found out that is called Ranger, isn't it? im on a windows machine, so i will try it back at home
