Transparency on E17

Hi, when I log in E17, the invisible theme of gkrellm it doesn't look that way, looks grey. Same thing with Eterm, but I realized that if I execute:

e17setroot -c /path/to/wallpaper.edj

gkrellm turns transparent, Eterm as well re-opening it, so I think the only way (is there another?) is execute that line up there when apply "startx" (I tried adding this to my .xinitrc, but it didn't work) ... any idea?  roll

Re: Transparency on E17

Make an esetroot.eap which executes that command and drop it in "Startup" with Entangle (or put it in ~/.e/e/applications/startup).

Re: Transparency on E17

To further exaplin the problem, it's because E17 doesn't (yet) comply with any sort of desktop standards. As such, apps like Eterm and gkrellm can't see it's virtual root window and think that weird grey screen X has by default is the wallpaper. e17setroot sets the wallpaper in the E17 virtual root window but also in a "real" or compliant window that the others apps can find too smile
